There was a game last Saturday. You betcha that I was there, ready to go with my foam finger and mardi gras beads.
The lady in red right in the center helped the fans start something new. About three minutes into the game, Fresno made a three pointer to put them up by one. This lady stands up and yells while double fist pumping. Hilarious.
So then every time USU would do something awesome, the entire student section would start double fist pumping. Then we got ahead by so much that we would do it when Fresno scored too. When there were only 12 minutes left in the game she finally picked up on what was happening. So the next time Fresno scored, she stood and up faced the ring-leaders of the student section and did her double fist pump. Good stuff.
After the game Janae and I decided to be creepy and stay after to see the players come back out. The picture below is like I Spy... I Spy 4 basketball players in this picture...
As witnessed by the empty stands, we stayed for quite a while.
Then yesterday we played again. It was destined to be a blow-out. We double fisted pumped it for both teams.
All of the action got started during half time. Tai Wesley always takes two dunks during half-time warm-ups. His second dunk shattered the backboard.
So the game was delayed about 45 minutes. The crew was working to install a new backboard. They almost had it back up, then we hear the same sound as before. Yes, they had broken the new backboard too. The final solution was to bring out an entirely portable hoop for the second half. Everyone was amused though.
While we waited we were entertained though. JW3 did a little dancing for us.
After all of that, we still managed to do this:

There is only one more home game left this season. Don't be surprised to find tear-stained cheeks in the pictures.
